At the advice of a friend, I started this blog to promote my book and my part-time journalism career; to share my thoughts on sports (especially baseball) Christianity, politics, and world events; and in general, to pontificate about whatever's on my mind. I work full-time in admissions at an art and design college and also teach economics during the summer. On the side, I am a freelance sportswriter, running a website (www.vandysports.com), writing for the Nashville City Paper, and doing occasional radio appearances as a college sports/baseball analyst for several stations throughout the south. I have both an undergraduate and a master's degree in business, and live with my two dogs, Max and Riley, in Nashville.
